Home/Wall-mounted split

27° Wall-mounted split

The one most
people need.

A slim indoor unit high on the wall, an outdoor unit on brackets outside, and two insulated copper pipes between them in trunking that matches the wall. It cools a bedroom in minutes, heats it in winter, and most are fitted and commissioned in a single day.

26° How it works

One room, done in a day.

Fixing the mounting plate level on the bedroom wall
Indoors

High on the wall, out of the way

The indoor unit hangs on a steel plate fixed to the wall, usually above a window or door so the air sweeps the room without blowing on the bed. A 65 mm hole behind it takes the pipes, the drain and the cable straight through the wall.

Outdoors

On brackets, or on the ground

The outdoor unit goes on galvanised wall brackets or on a slab with anti-vibration feet, sited away from bedroom windows and neighbours where we can. Pipes run in white or brown trunking to match the wall, and the condensate drain goes to a drain or soakaway.

The job we do most

In a loft the indoor unit goes on the gable wall where it can throw air the length of the room, and the pipes drop down inside the eaves or outside in trunking. The hottest room in the house becomes the coolest.

24° Straight answers

Things people ask about wall-mounted splits.

How long does a wall split take to fit?+

A straightforward single room is a day: survey done beforehand, fit, vacuum and pressure test, commission and handover in one visit. Long pipe runs or awkward access can push it into a second morning, and we tell you at the survey if so.

Where does the water go?+

Cooling pulls moisture out of the air, which drains from the indoor unit through a small pipe. It runs out through the wall with the refrigerant pipes to a drain, a soakaway or a gutter.

Can it blow straight at the bed?+

It can, but it should not. We position the unit and set the louvres so the air sweeps across the room rather than onto you. Most people sleep with it on a low fan setting and a timer.
